Formación

Job Description:

What will you work on?

This role will partner closely with North America Product Integrity Engineers, Mexico-based Manufacturing Engineering team, and manufacturing facilities through the new product development process to ensure products meet the regulatory requirements for US, Canada, EU, and Australia.

How will you create impact?

  1. Review NPD models and samples to identify potential safety or regulatory issues. Collaborate with North America Product Integrity Engineering partners and Manufacturing Engineering partners to recommend revisions to ensure compliance.
  2. Review packaging artwork files for compliance to labeling regulations.
  3. Coordinate in-house and 3rd party laboratory testing for NPD items.
  4. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and factories to identify and document production control plans to ensure critical processes and components are monitored throughout production.
  5. Create Inspection specifications based on Spin Master criteria for aesthetics, labeling, and function/performance.
  6. Provide on-site support for pre-production and production start-up of new items.
  7. Oversee high risk materials testing program for suppliers in Mexico.
  8. Work with factories to ensure each production process (injection molding, painting, assembly, packing, etc.) is documented via Work Instruction to ensure production consistency and product quality.
  9. Conduct on-site audits to ensure production process is in place per agreement, and overall production and storage are compliant.
  10. Some travel will be required.

What are your skills and experience?

  1. Experience with significant time in manufacturing quality functions, preferably in the Toy industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of toy safety regulations.
  3. Strong knowledge of PFMEA required. Knowledge of DFMEA preferred.
  4. Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish required.
  5. Experience working with 3rd party test labs.
  6. Experience with implementing and enforcing industry standards.
  7. Hands-on factory experience in Quality Assurance.
