Job summary

Aspen Technology, a leader in industrial software, seeks an experienced Product Owner to shape MSC solutions that optimize planning, scheduling, logistics, and workflows. You will own the backlog, translate complex needs into concrete features and user stories, and collaborate with product management, development, and QA to maximize customer value.

The role requires deep experience in Agile environments, SAFe familiarity, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations Research).
8+ years of progressive experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, or related roles.
5+ years of experience in Agile software development environments.
Experience with SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks; backlog ownership and feature planning.

Responsibilities

Define and deliver Manufacturing & Supply Chain (MSC) software solutions that optimize planning, scheduling, logistics, and workflows.
Own and prioritize the team backlog to maximize customer and business value.
Translate complex customer requirements into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with Engineering to ensure capabilities align with technical strategy and delivery objectives.
Participate in PI Planning, Backlog Refinement, Iteration Planning, and Sprint Reviews.
Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across teams and stakeholders.
Validate delivered functionality against customer needs and business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement and customer-focused value delivery.
