This position reports to

Product Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Area in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
2. Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.
3. Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
4. Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
5. Implementing new production lines (NPI) and transferring production lines to ABB MTY 1.0 (ToW: transfer of work).
6. Leading and building Prototypes or Zero Series for new products.
7. Providing technical support on manufacturing for the internal and external team for the new integration product or design.
8. Owning product costs and implementing cost reduction on design.
9. Maintaining and optimizing Switchboard product.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience with Switch products is required.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of Solidworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience using Power BI is required.
• Experience leading work teams and projects.
• Experience with cost-saving projects.
• Advanced English level.
• Knowledge of SAP.
