Celestica in Monterrey seeks a Senior Lead Engineer for Test Manufacturing to drive complex server/storage/AI compute rack testing. You will coordinate with engineering, production and service teams, manage customer life cycle issues and deliver technical trainings.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in manufacturing with strong PC/server knowledge, Linux scripting, and experience in test development and Six Sigma methodologies.

Formación

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer engineering and fundamental engineering disciplines. This role requires hands‑on engagement with complex servers, storage devices and AI compute rack systems.

Detailed Description
  • Responsible for understanding the customer's technical requirements to maintain contextual knowledge for issues and projects.
  • Collaborate with development, production and service teams to understand the performance requirements that drive the solution design.
  • Work as a core team member with the CMX site to support efforts from design, production launch, full production and service support.
  • Understand the scope of all technical work, engage with the team, accept work assignments and work diligently through problem resolution for the full customer product life cycle support.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and training sessions to customers and internal teams.
  • Contribute to best practice standard development by conducting research, writing documents and engaging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Failure Analysis (FA): Experience at the system integration level (including networking, storage, and processing devices) is required. FA experience at the component level is a bonus; demonstrate experience with system integration projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of PC/server architecture, networking, and JBOD/disk architecture; good knowledge of measurement equipment and experience with complex cabling schemes.
  • Operating Systems: Proficiency with Linux‑based test scripts for computer and network hardware performance testing, including familiarity with Bash and Python..
  • Testing & Development: Experience with test development, test script development, and knowledge of test sequencers. Programming language skills are required, with Perl and Python being a plus. (Off‑line / On‑board / On‑system memory programming is a bonus.)
  • Problem Solving & Reporting: Strong problem‑solving techniques and experience utilizing failure reports to identify and resolve vendor issues; demonstrate experience with 8D, 5W, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Manufacturing: Fixture development for quick failure validation, deep knowledge in component / device traceability on complex system integration projects.
  • Understanding of foundational engineering disciplines required for CCS Products (Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering)
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • 10% - 25% focused mostly in North America. Some Asia travel will be required.

Typical Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
