Johnson Controls in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Procurement Execution Center (PEC). You will deploy and support end-to-end data management, including ETL/ELT, data warehousing, governance, and data models for BI and reporting across logistics, MRO & Energy, travel, and professional services.

The role requires 3+ years of BI/Data Engineering experience, strong SQL, and hands-on Azure Data Factory/Synapse.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in BI Engineering, data modeling, data engineering or related roles with strong SQL.
• Knowledge in DW/DL concepts, data marts, data modeling, ETL/ELT and metadata management.
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines and data sets.
• Azure Data Engineering certification preferred (DP-203).
• ETL/ELT development experience; SSIS or ADF preferred.
• Ability to resolve ETL/ELT problems with tactical/strategic solutions.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience with Python, Scala, C#, or similar languages.
• Experience with NoSQL databases a plus for cloud transition.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD, git) is a plus.
• Proficiency in English due to global nature of role.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy data ingestion processes via Azure Data Factory to load data models into Azure Synapse.
• Build and design ETL/ELT processes with ADF and/or Python, executed daily and weekly.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements.
• Build infrastructure for ETL/ELT using Azure SQL and ADF.
• Develop data models enabling DataViz, Reporting and Advanced Analytics.
• Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models with metadata.
• Manage DevOps pipeline deployment model with automated testing.
• Deploy data stewardship and governance across the data warehouse.
• Ingest, cleanse, transform, and code business rules to support procurement bidding.
• Support deployment of global data standards for Logistics.
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientists.
• Support Rate Repository management (Rate Card uploads to DW).
• Perform other procurement duties as assigned.
