Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and supervises the Process engineering activities to meet the required output for SQDC using the plant resources.
- Establishes the production standard methods for current process according to the process flow diagram and control plan, integrating the 4M's (Material, Machine, Method and Main).
- Develops and maintains updated the necessary documents to establish the production standard (SOP, procedures, Forms, etc.).
- Assists the production department to solve the process issues that affect the main KPI in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) by evaluating the 4M's + 2M's.
- Assists the maintenance department in solving issues, searches and implements improvement activities on machines and/or production equipment.
- Confirms that the BOM is met and submits periodic recommendations and/or changes if needed to keep updated the material consumption.
- Establishes and/or participates in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Lean system, VPS, projects, 6 sigma, etc.).
- Audits current processes to improve the efficiency of methods.
- Is responsible for the initial issuance of the PFMEA.
- Coordinates updating the PFMEA according to the revision and update schedule to improve the process performance.
- Assures that process capability is met with established methods and develops actions to improve and/or correct them if needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or Similar.
- 6 or more years of experience in manufacturing processes, preferably in rubber molding, assembly processes, and automation, programming of PLC, Robots, Cobots.
- Manufacturing process definition for costing (Process Engineering Process Map), Lean methodology production process (VPS Tools), Manufacturing process principles (assembly or mixing or bonding or plastic or MCU or vulcanization) and process steps (process design, specification book and process release), Designing of tools and equipment, knowledge about tool manufacturing and tool maintenance, IATF, Core Tools, PFMEA, and interpretation of drawing GD&T.
