Responsibilities
Responsible for managing, planning, and executing activities related to metallurgical improvement proposals and/or process analysis.
- Preparing information for the development of value propositions for our clients, including analysis of client process data.
- Provide cross-functional support to other departments as required by the organization.
- Develop and improve procedures that ensure the quality of work carried out in the laboratory.
- Assist clients with laboratory testing and/or metallurgical process-related matters.
- Conduct on-site technical audits, analyze and evaluate client metallurgical process data.
- Visit clients regularly and support them with the commissioning of FLSmidth equipment when needed.
- Support the management control of the group by generating reporting documentation.
- Support laboratory management.
- Develop and/or support productivity improvement initiatives in operations where FLSmidth holds maintenance contracts or in operations that require support and potential equipment commissioning.
- Through process strategy, metallurgy, or overall productivity improvements, help drive increased sales of FLSmidth equipment, spare parts, or services in support of the company's defined sales goals.
- Provide field engineering support for processes when requested by a client or by FLSmidth.
- Promote a culture of safety and self-care—personally, within the team, and throughout the company—by integrating stakeholders potentially impacted by our activities, complying with established standards, policies, and requirements. Actively participate in activities scheduled in the annual HSEQA plans and programs; report all incidents, near misses, and substandard acts or conditions, and participate actively in investigations if required.
What You Bring
- Experience in metallurgical testing at laboratory and pilot scale; knowledge of mining equipment for comminution, classification, separation, and others; handling and analysis of metallurgical process data.
- BSc/BTech in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
- 8 or more years of experience, including at least two years in production operations.
- Languages: Spanish, English (written)
