Tetra Pak in Cuautitlan, Mexico seeks a Senior Process Engineer to design and implement process and application solutions for our manufacturing operations. You will interface with customers and partners, leading projects from concept to start-up and contributing to automation initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in food/plant engineering, strong PID/AutoCAD skills, and experience in dairy/beverage or pharma settings. Some travel and visa/relocation support available.

Formación

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Chemical, Food Science Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related careers with focus in process design and projects implementation required.
  • Experience in food & dairy processes; commissioning, maintenance or start-ups a plus.
  • Proven process engineering experience in dairy/beverage or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
  • Strong communication, planning and leadership skills with problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to read P&ID diagrams; AutoCAD and drawing platforms required.
  • Knowledge of Dairy, Carbonated Beverage and Powder Handling process design; Planview/SAP a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Support Technical Sales and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Be supporting projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation; develop automation solutions.
  • Work in a multi-project environment and adapt to each project’s needs.
  • Utilize experience with process piping standards, equipment installation, automation control, instrumentation, start-up/commissioning and customer satisfaction.
  • Take full responsibility for technical solutions and quality aspects of project performance and food safety, with project buy-in and customer focus.
  • Collaborate with Plant Integration teams in each market company.
  • Work with customers and colleagues in an international environment and across the organization.
  • Develop regulatory awareness with FDA and OSHA.

Job Summary

The Senior Process Engineer will focus on designing and implementing process and application solutions. This is an opportunity to interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. This opportunity offers unlimited career growth with an industry leader. Development projects will be executed together with customers and business partners as well as internally in Tetra Pak.

The position is based in Cuautitlan, Izcalli, Mexico.

You may be required to travel 35% of your time regionally / globally.

Tetra Pak is sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

What You Will Do
  • Support Technical Sales and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Be supporting projects from a conceptual development phase (sales) through implementation to start of commercial operation. You will also participate in the development of automation solutions for full manufacturing operations.
  • Working in a multi-project environment where the role adapts to the needs of each individual project.
  • Utilize your experience with industry standards for process piping, equipment and the installation thereof, strong understanding of automation control application, instrumentation applications, start-up/commissioning of systems, Customer Satisfaction.
  • Act with full responsibility for technical solution and quality aspects of project performance and food safety, while securing project management buy in and being aligned with a focus on customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Working in close cooperation with Plant Integration team in each of the market companies.
  • Working with customers and colleagues in an international environment, but also utilize and collaborate with resources throughout the entire organization.
  • Develop regulatory experience/awareness with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and OHS (Ocuppational, Health & Safety)
We believe you have
  • Bachelor´s Degree in Chemical, Food Science Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related careers with focus in process design and projects implementation required. Experience may be considered in lieu of 5-year degree.
  • Experience in food & dairy processes. Experience in commissioning, maintenance or start-ups as a plus.
  • Proven process engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 7+ years of previous experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
  • Strong communication, planning and leadership skills, able to solve problems consistently.
  • Ability to draw, read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID). AutoCAD and drawing platform intermediate knowledge are a must.
  • Dairy, Carbonated Beverage and Powder Handling process design knowledge.
  • Functional Engineering Competence (pre-automation specs, programming and automations basics) as strong plus.
  • Hexagon SSP, SAP and Microsoft Planview knowledge as a plus.
