Rivian is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Cost Engineering organization in Mexico. You will design end-to-end automation to analyze costs for Rivian components, leveraging CAD/Systems design, data analysis, and cost estimation to keep pace with engineering and procurement teams.

The role requires CAD experience (CATIA), data analysis skills (Databricks), and the ability to develop should-cost models across multiple vehicle commodities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of automotive or manufacturing related experience at an OEM or Tier 1 Manufacturer.
• Proficiency in navigating CAD models in CATIA or similar software.
• Ability to interpret and understand design and manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to independently create a BoM for a given commodity or design and allocate costs.
• Proficiency in Data Analysis (Databricks) and APIs to investigate and pull data for root-cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Build end-to-end automation to analyze costs across Rivian vehicle components.
• Integrate PLM (3D Experience/CATIA) with cost estimating tools via APIs and automation.
• Analyze CAD/BOM data accuracy and fix issues before cost estimation.
• Create initial cost estimates for mechanical commodities (Stampings, Molding, Die Casting, etc.).
• Gather data to estimate production costs including materials, labor, and tooling.
• Collaborate with PLM and Cost Engineering teams to improve processes and software efficiency.
• Analyze data with Databricks to identify trends for future cost models and target costs.
• Plan milestones and manage risks to deliver cost models on time.
