Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer to lead design, operation, and continuous improvement of cloud and data platform services in a global financial services setting.

Role requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, observability, and production support to ensure scalability, reliability, and security across AWS and Azure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Enterprise Production Support.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD platforms.
• Experience supporting Databricks, dbt, Apache Airflow, and enterprise data platforms.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
• Knowledge of security, IAM/RBAC, compliance, disaster recovery, and platform governance.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Incident Management, and Change Management.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own platform stability, reliability, security, and performance across AWS and Azure environments.
• Lead Kubernetes and container platform operations, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
• Support enterprise data platforms including Databricks, dbt, Airflow, and workload orchestration tools.
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), problem management, and platform improvements.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation solutions.
• Enhance platform observability, monitoring, alerting, and service reliability metrics.
• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation, backup validation, and disaster recovery activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices and governance standards.
