Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company at the El Salto, MX manufacturing facility seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive ISO 14001/45001 initiatives aligned with corporate standards and site goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A master's degree in environmental or safety disciplines or professional credentials such as CIH or CSP are preferred.
• 7+ years designing, implementing and driving proactive EHS programs in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the plant's environmental, health and safety strategy, developing and executing initiatives that support global and regional EHS priorities and facility business objectives.
• Serve as the Site EHS Management System Leader, accountable for implementing, deploying, and sustaining the system while coordinating activities across plant processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations and Goodyear requirements while continuously improving EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and preparation for ISO 45001 certification.
• Partner with plant leaders and cross-functional teams to strengthen EHS culture, increase employee engagement and empowerment, support PEC infrastructure, and promote proactive risk management.
• Lead EHS governance and establish meaningful leading and lagging performance indicators to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
• Build trusted relationships with governmental and regulatory agencies, community leaders, and other external stakeholders to promote transparency and Goodyear's EHS brand.
