Job summary

VGS is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Payments Quality, to own world‑class quality for our high‑throughput payments platform. You will build automated regression suites and AI‑assisted testing, partnering with feature teams to ensure zero downtime and flawless accuracy.

You will drive performance tests, architecture for observability, and mentor others, embedding automated quality gates in CI/CD with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on quality engineering, test automation framework design, and performance testing for complex, high-throughput distributed systems.
• Deep hands-on experience building automated test suites in Python or Typescript/Javascript, with REST API testing and microservices validation.
• Proven track record designing and running performance, stress, and load tests at scale using Locust or k6.
• Direct experience embedding automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitOps) in Docker/Kubernetes on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Architect and embed quality benchmarks across Payments Acceptance, building automated guardrails into pipelines.
• Drive high-concurrency load, stress, and latency testing to ensure stability during peak periods.
• Pioneer AI-native software engineering focused on quality, including AI-assisted tools and synthetic data generation.
• Deep observability and incident prevention with telemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Mentor teams and create Golden Paths for automated testing, enabling rapid code validation.
