Fortune Brands Innovations, Inc. is seeking a senior packaging engineer to lead advanced packaging initiatives from concept through commercialization in alignment with product, marketing, operations and sustainability goals.

The role includes mentoring peers, driving material and process innovations, and championing continuous improvement while ensuring data accuracy and strong cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Design or relevant packaging engineering experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in packaging engineering in consumer products or manufacturing.
• Professional English proficiency (written and verbal).

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

• Lead cross-functional packaging development effortsfrom concept through commercialization, ensuring alignment with product, marketing, operations, and sustainability goals.
• Develop and execute robust project planswith clear sequencing, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure swift and successful execution.
• Drive innovationby identifying and implementing new materials, technologies, and processes that enhance product protection, user experience, and environmental performance.
• Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise, offering feedback, and helping others navigate complex challenges.
• Champion continuous improvementby proactively identifying opportunities to optimize packaging efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
• Apply sound judgmentto evaluate trade-offs, make timely decisions, and elevate when appropriate.
• Utilize and adapt standardized tools and processesto support both routine and non-standard packaging development and testing.
• Lead packaging effortsfor both new product development and product improvement initiatives of any complexity.
• Collaborate effectively across functions, fostering alignment, resolving challenges, and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
• Participate in and lead brainstorming sessions, contributing creative ideas and building on others’ input to develop breakthrough packaging solutions.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging market insights and platform knowledge to inform packaging strategies and platform development.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistencyacross systems, supporting team-wide standardization and knowledge sharing.
• Model accountability and ownership, consistently delivering on commitments and learning from both successes and setbacks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Design or relevant packaging engineering experience is a must.
• 8+ yearsof progressive experience in packaging engineering, preferably in consumer products or manufacturing environments.
• Professional English proficiency is a MUST (written / verbal communication)
• Proven ability tolead complex projects, manage ambiguity, and deliver results under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing methods, and performance testing standards (ISTA, ASTM, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability tobalance planning with urgency, ensuring rapid progress while maintaining quality and alignment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a reputation forclear, concise, and professional collaboration.
• Valid US visa andwillingness to traveldomestically and internationally as needed.
