Job summary

Abbott is building a manufacturing facility in Querétaro and seeks an experienced operational excellence professional to drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. You will lead process improvements, optimize capacity and cycle times, and collaborate with site teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in relevant industries, with knowledge of DMAIC and GMP standards. Strong project leadership and change management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s in science, Engineering, administration, or similar careers.
• +5 years of experience, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceutical, automotive, or electronics industries.
• Operational excellence concepts such as line balance, constraint theory, process flow map, and continuous improvement tools (DMAIC, fishbone, 5 Whys). Knowledge of ISO/FDA and GMPs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall layout and space utilization analysis for short and long term planning.
• Maintain direct labor planning to support year-over-year demands and establish labor standards.
• Lead tactical process improvement projects aligned with site goals and objectives.
• Evaluate processes to identify productivity and efficiency gains for growth.
• Lead projects using Lean, Six Sigma, CI, OpEx, or related tools and estimate resource needs.
• Support 5S activities in manufacturing and support areas.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing systems to measure KPIs and support MOR/MOS reviews.
• Generate and share project status reports and KPI summaries for management.
