Job summary

Polaris Inc. Mexico is seeking a Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions. You will develop processes, work instructions, and labor standards, and conduct DFAM evaluations to ensure manufacturability.

You will own PFMEAs, control plans alignment, and coordinate pre-production through ramp-up, collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Planning to meet safety, cost, and quality targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering or related roles.
Experience owning new product launches and readiness activities.
Strong knowledge of APQP and Core Tools (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plans, PPAP, MSA, SPC).
Experience with DFM/DFA/DFAM and manufacturability.
Developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, labor standards, and standard work.
Experience defining tooling, fixtures, poka-yokes, and equipment requirements.
Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and production implementation.
Experience conducting design reviews and CAD-based manufacturability evaluation.
Lead structured root-cause analysis using 8D and CAPA.
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage launches.
Fluent English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing readiness and execution for new product introductions.
Develop processes, documentation, work instructions, and labor standards for launches.
Perform DFAM and manufacturability evaluations using CAD and design reviews.
Own PFMEAs and align manufacturing controls with Control Plans.
Define tooling, fixtures, and production-system requirements for new products.
Coordinate pre-production, ramp-up, and transition to full-scale production.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Materials, Planning, and suppliers.
Drive issue closure via structured problem-solving and CAPA.
Support capital planning, supplier runoffs, and process validation.
Ensure safety, quality, cost, and productivity targets are met.
