Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to drive new product introductions and manufacturing changes. You will partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to drive readiness from development through release to production.

Qualifications

• Requires a university degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing engineering, NPI, or related tech environment.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate transfer of information on new products and engineering changes between engineering and manufacturing.
• Plan and execute new product introduction activities across the product development process.
• Manage engineering-to-factory communication for product changes, validation builds, and release-to-manufacturing timing.
• Track action plans, priorities, and implementation progress for NPI activities and product changes.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, procedures, and standard work.
• Work with machinery, tooling, materials, and production teams to improve manufacturability, quality, and efficiency.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams to reduce launch issues and support problem resolution.
• Support production readiness by training and providing technical guidance to manufacturing personnel.
• Contribute to manufacturing cost, process, and productivity improvements associated with NPI and engineering changes.
• Support validation builds, customer visits, and other launch-related activities as needed.
