Sezzle is seeking a hands-on Senior Security Engineer, Network & Zero Trust, to own the network pillar of Sezzle's zero-trust program across Kubernetes and AWS. You will design default-deny segmentation, implement identity-aware service-to-service transport, and drive policy-as-code with automation.

This role reports to the Director of Information Security and partners with multiple security and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in security, network, or infra engineering with cloud production ownership.
• Strong Kubernetes networking, CNI, NetworkPolicy, and segmentation experience.
• Hands-on AWS networking, VPCs, subnets, and private links, with tooling.
• Experience writing code for tooling (Go/Python) and IaC pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Own east-west segmentation across Kubernetes clusters with default-deny policies.
• Deliver identity-aware transport (mTLS) for service-to-service connections.
• Maintain live network maps using cloud APIs for secure production paths.
• Own network telemetry and feed data to SIEM for detections.
• Develop policy-as-code and automation to govern traffic and access.
• Collaborate on threat modeling and incident response planning.
