Eaton is seeking a Sr. Molding Process Engineer for the Molding Processes in its IS AER ITD division. You will develop, validate and innovate molding processes, tools and dies, while ensuring quality, service and cost targets are met.

You will lead troubleshooting, process optimization, DOE and value engineering, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve cycle times, scrap reduction and equipment performance. Fluent English/Spanish is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Plastics (Polymers) or Tool Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in similar positions.
• Fluent in English/Spanish.
• Cost-out projects experience.
• Proficient in statistical tools (Minitab).
• SolidWorks and mold design experience.
• Experience with molding processes and resins.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and participate with HPWT to achieve Hive Five Metrics.
• Propose and implement actions to reduce scrap in Molding Area.
• Define, develop and implement efficient molding processes.
• Improve efficiency and cycle time in Molding Processes.
• Leads value engineering, DOE, and RIE events to improve part cost, quality, and performance.
• Management of equipment installation, layout changes and improvements.
• Training and validation of personnel in molding equipment use.
• Investigate machine and mold damage, customer complaints, or production defects.
• Validation of new molds and defining process parameters.
• Plan sequences of operations and procedures for development of tools or equipment.
