Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Laboratory/Support Senior Engineer to deliver advanced metallurgical expertise supporting Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supplier Quality.

You will lead investigations into complex material and heat-treatment issues to minimize risks, disruptions, and warranty exposure. The role focuses on technical leadership for NPI projects, capital improvements, and maintaining compliance with Caterpillar/ISO specifications.

Formación

• Fluent English, written and oral communication required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in heat treating or metallurgical environments.
• Strong problem solving and prioritization skills.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and technical capability.

Responsabilidades

• Provide metallurgical validation and technical engineering support for NPI projects and technical services.
• Lead resolution of complex heat treatment and coating issues with customers and internal teams.
• Lead execution of capital projects for laboratory and manufacturing improvements.
• Provide oversight for outsourced heat treatment operations ensuring quality compliance.
• Develop metallurgy training programs with 120+ training hours annually.
• Create and maintain technical procedures and lab documentation per standards.
• Drive laboratory equipment reliability and preventive maintenance.
• Manage metallurgical laboratory operations including budgeting and procurement.
