Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in Tijuana, MX is seeking an experienced engineer to evaluate and apply standard technical techniques on projects within the department.

You will work independently on standard projects and may supervise technicians, while interfacing with other engineers. The role emphasizes problem solving, adherence to US and international standards, and contributions to special projects and prototypes.

Formación

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field related to the department of assignment or industry with five years previous related experience.
• Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem solving and development.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Working knowledge of United States and international standards as applicable to the department.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard technical techniques with minor adaptations.
• Investigates a moderate number of technical variables to complete assignments.
• Performs work with conventional plans and equipment with few precedents.
• Works independently on standard projects with assistance for unusual problems.
• Receives instructions on objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
• May supervise engineers/technicians and collaborate with other engineers.
• Performs higher-level technical work for continued training.
• Works on special projects and creates prototypes under broad direction.
• May have authority over NCMRs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
