Job summary

HARMAN is seeking a Materials Planner in Querétaro, Mexico, to ensure production material supply, analyze demand, monitor inventory, and maintain clear communications with suppliers, always aiming to improve team performance and production schedules.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in material planning within manufacturing or supply chain, advanced English, and strong Excel skills, plus hands-on SAP MM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to analyze and manage material planning data.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM for material planning, procurement, inventory control, and day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure material supply for the production plan and analyze demand effectively.
• Follow up on inventory and maintain clear communication with suppliers.
• Improve team performance and ensure production schedule accuracy.
• Create sustainable processes related to material planning and inventory control.
• Make daily analysis of inventory levels to avoid shortages.
• Analyze releases week by week to detect demand variations.
• Make weekly planning orders to the supplier base according to current customer demand.
• Identify and implement improvements to reduce obsolescence risk.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase labor efficiency.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through established communication channels.
• Assure data integrity in the ERP system to achieve inventory accuracy.
• Oversee all production materials planning cycles and transactions to achieve inventory goals.
