Continental is seeking a Material Developer Thermoplastics (m/f/diverse) to create and optimize innovative PVC material solutions across our global product portfolio in Mexico. You will develop processable formulations, run lab and pilot-scale trials, and work with cross-functional teams to improve performance, sustainability, and cost efficiency.

Formación

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Plastics Engineering or related field.
• Deep expertise in PVC formulation and compounding for rigid and flexible systems.
• Fluent in English; able to communicate in an international team.
• Experience in thermoplastic compounding, formulation development and scale-up activities.

Responsabilidades

• Scout, evaluate and qualify new raw materials, additives and PVC compounds to enhance product performance, sustainability and cost competitiveness.
• Continuously improve existing material solutions through formulation optimization, performance monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Develop processable, robust and sustainable thermoplastic compound formulations; plan and execute lab and pilot-scale trials.
• Characterize and validate material performance using analytical methods and translate results into formulation improvements.
• Create and maintain material specifications, technical standards and documentation; manage material change requests and support industrialization.
• Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers regarding PVC and thermoplastic material solutions.
