Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Mexicali seeks an engineering intern to develop and maintain work instructions, enabling production teams to build high-quality products efficiently.

You will provide basic technical support, assist with tooling and processes to meet production schedules, and manage master route sequences and BOM data.

This role may require occasional travel to the United States and visa sponsorship; basic English proficiency is required; first shift is 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Typically requires students currently enrolled in electronic, mechatronic, mechanical, or industrial engineering programs nearing graduation or in final stages.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains work instructions to help production personnel build high-quality products efficiently.
• Provides basic technical support and resolves routine problems of limited scope and complexity.
• Supports Production Build Operators with immediate needs on Tooling and Processes to meet production schedule.
• Follows established policies and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
• Creates and maintains the master route sequences and BOM data.
• Assists with and/or generates Run and Holds along with reviewing COs to ensure they are acceptable for production incorporation.
• Position may include occasional travel to the United States, as required by business needs, and might require obtaining a visa.
• Basic communication skills in English, including written, reading, and verbal, are required as part of daily activities in the role.
• This position is for the first shift, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Candidates must be available to work during this schedule.
