Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the optimization of metal stamping and forming processes in a high-volume facility. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency through process improvements, tooling management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and strong technical leadership.

You will support production operations, lead die trials and validations, and develop maintenance and process documentation to maximize equipment performance and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or a similar role.
• Experience with metal stamping operations in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization of metal stamping and forming processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Drive improvements in OEE and reduce cycle times across stamping operations.
• Lead root cause analyses to resolve complex production and quality issues.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce scrap, waste, and process variation.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, PFMEAs, and process documentation.
• Coordinate die tryouts, adjustments, and validation activities prior to production launch.
• Lead SMED initiatives to reduce die changeover times and improve equipment availability.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize die life and performance.
• Coordinate continuous improvement projects and provide technical leadership to manufacturing teams.
