Senior Manufacturing Engineer

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer applies experience, training, and acquired engineering techniques to tackle problems encountered in design, redesign, or troubleshooting.

What you'll be doing

• Supports and/or provides technical and safety guidance or mentoring to colleagues, technicians, designers, drafters, model makers, and others. May serve as project leader.
• Meets with external customers and suppliers to exchange information and help with more difficult technical problems.
• Participates in project planning and may lead portions of large projects to include scheduling, supervising costs, resources, workforce load, etc.
• Integrates existing processes (through transfer from other Baxter sites) and develops and continuously improves mechanical device manufacturing processes.
• Designs and implements production fixtures/tools and inspection equipment as needed.
• Plans and strategizes capacity (equipment, labor, space) and maintenance, production performance, efficiency, downtime tracking, and corrective actions.
• Executes activities related to the transfer of manufacturing to the new manufacturing site.
• Estimates, tracks, and develops production routers for cycle time.
• Implements engineering tools such as Problem Solving, Statistics (DOE/ANOVA, etc.), PFMEA, etc.
• Develops and maintains manufacturing process instructions (process sheets, MPS), routers, and bill of materials.
• Develops and completes process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ/TMV) while ensuring that changes made to specifications, methods, processes, or procedures are verified or, where applicable, validated in accordance with the organization.

What you'll bring

• Professional in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing and Lean Methodologies, project implementation, and implementing new manufacturing tools.
• Experience in engineering techniques to tackle problems encountered in design, redesign, or troubleshooting.
