Join Cisco's Assembly Sciences & Technology Team to lead innovative developments in assembly processes for cutting-edge technologies. You will leverage your expertise in PCBA and collaborate with diverse teams to solve complex challenges. Formación

  • Typically requires a BSME or MSME degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Production floor experience is an advantage.

Descripción del empleo

As a member of the Assembly Sciences & Technology Team, our charter is to:

Work with our EMS partners to assess and develop assembly processes for emerging technologies. Collaborate with Cisco Design teams on DFM issues. Responsibilities include:

  • Process development for new components, connectors with unique interconnect structures
  • Failure analysis support and risk assessment on PCBA with assembly-related issues. Acts as a senior technical contributor to Cisco.
  • Integration of liquid cooling systems into mechanical systems.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of SMT and through-hole assembly, rework, soldering materials (including low-temperature solder alloys), large BGA assembly processes, and mechanical assembly of PCBA into chassis.
  • Experience in high-complexity PCB assembly processes (SMT, Wave, backplane).
  • Understanding of industry standards, specifications, and test methods related to PCBA.
  • Exceptional communication skills, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional programs and supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of component packaging and PCB technologies is desirable.
  • Background in materials science, including metallurgy and polymers, is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, approximately 15-25%.
  • Typically requires a BSME or MSME degree or equivalent experience, plus 8-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience, with production floor experience being an advantage.

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of system integration and mechanical aspects is an advantage.
