Overview

Senior Manager – Oracle Applications Development

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Oracle Applications Development to join our team at MMC. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. As a Senior Manager – Oracle Applications Development to at MMC, you will be setting development standards, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, optimizing development processes (Agile/DevOps), and ensuring seamless integration of emerging technologies. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise across multiple platforms, and the ability to manage large, geographically distributed teams.

We will count on you to:

  • Serve as the single point of contact for managing multiple development resources across geographically distributed teams. Align workload, monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure effective communication between developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications, ensuring adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and architectural best practices. Promote Agile and DevOps methodologies to increase delivery speed and quality.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance on Oracle Financials initiatives, collaborating with functional and technical teams to ensure system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades meet business requirements. Participate in solution design and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of high-performing application developers. Build a diverse and skilled team, focusing on technical excellence and cultural fit. Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional growth opportunities to ensure long-term retention.
  • Partner with business and IT leadership to define application roadmaps, technology modernization strategies, and resource allocation plans. Drive process improvements in development workflows, release management, and quality assurance.
  • Manage budgets, vendor relationships related to application development. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and security best practices.

What you need to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as Manager for Oracle technology teams or initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences/mathematics
  • Role will be responsible for managing a large diverse group of technology specialists, overseeing the entire life cycle of a software application, while ensuring that user needs, performance requirements and security standards are met.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills include attention to detail.
  • Experience working within complex (international) environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a virtual team and within tight deadlines.
  • Deep Knowledge on Project and Process Design, especially in the areas of Oracle Financials.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and Spanish.
