Brown‑Forman seeks a Senior Manager to oversee External Manufacturing Operations for bottling and co-packers across Mexico. You will manage over 10 million cases, lead production planning, procurement, and materials management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize quality and cost.

The role emphasizes strategic partnerships with BF Mexico, leading start‑ups of new co-packers, and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing and packaging.

Formación

  • Education: College/University; Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or Business.
  • Experience: 10+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment; good understanding of Mexico compliance requirements for beverages.
  • MRP or SAP experience, Microsoft Office experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage co-packers and serve as the primary contact for supply chain and production activities.
  • Develop production plans and align forecasts, capacity, and material supply to ensure reliable product availability.
  • Identify and develop new co-packing partners and expand existing capabilities.
  • Oversee co-packer compliance with quality, food safety, and manufacturing standards.
  • Drive cost planning and financial analysis; negotiate costs with co-packers.

The Senior Manager - EMO Mexico plays a critical role in supporting the Director, EMO Americas and Europe. This position oversees Brown‑Forman's External Manufacturing Operations for bottling and canning co‑packers across the Mexico region. In conjunction with your team, manage in excess of 10MM cases of co‑packed goods. The role spans multiple disciplines, including negotiation, vendor management, production planning and scheduling, procurement, materials management, and 3PL warehouse management.

Meaningful Work From Day One:

Develop and lead short-and long-range manufacturing strategies to meet or exceed current and future business plans. Lead and provide overall operational direction and consistency to enhance productivity, quality, customer service, and partnerships. Is a strategic partner and collaborator with BF Mexico and center-led internal resources. Directly manage and build relationships with Co‑packing partners. Lead the prospecting, start‑up, and development of new Co‑packers. Lead the production analysis, recommendation, and implementation of new products and packages produced in the region. Provide leadership, influence, and expertise among stakeholders to formulate a shared vision. Clearly communicate the vision and obtain commitment to goals and action plans.

What You Can Expect:
Leadership, Planning & Supply Chain Management:
  • Manage relationships with co‑packers and serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain and production activities.
  • Develop production plans and align forecasts, capacity, and material supply to ensure reliable product availability.
  • Coordinate company‑supplied materials and support long‑term capacity planning.
  • Identify and develop new co‑packing partners and expand existing capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company risk management and operational standards.
Production Operations & Quality:
  • Oversee co‑packer compliance with quality, food safety, and manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and product quality.
New Product & Packaging Development:
  • Partner with Innovation, R&D, Packaging, and Quality teams to support new product launches.
  • Lead implementation of innovation projects within co‑packer facilities.
  • Coordinate packaging development, compliance reviews, artwork proofing, and supplier approvals.
Financial Management:
  • Manage co‑packer costs and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Negotiate co‑packer fees and pricing adjustments.
  • Support cost planning, financial analysis, and capital investment recommendations.
People Leadership:
  • Coach, develop, and manage team performance.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Education: College/University (Bachelor´s or Equivalent); Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or Business.
  • Experience: 10+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment. Good understanding of Mexico compliance requirements for beverages.
  • MRP or SAP experience, Microsoft Office experience.
