Senior Learning & Development Coordinator - Hybrid - Mexico City

As part of the ICON University team, the Senior Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of training programs, including scheduling, logistics, communications, and coordination with facilitators and vendors. The role involves maintaining learning calendars, preparing training materials, and ensuring smooth execution of both virtual and in-person sessions. A key focus is supporting the Learning Management System (LMS) by enrolling users, updating records, resolving user issues, and ensuring accurate tracking of learning activities. The role also includes working closely with business units, HR teams, and subject matter experts to understand training needs, support content development, and recommend improvements based on feedback. Additionally, the coordinator helps generate reports, track training compliance, support audits, and contribute to ongoing process improvements and innovations in learning delivery.

Provides programme support as assigned

Provide support for external and internal audits and/or client requests for training documentation on study staff including preparation of employee reports (training histories or learning plans when requested) and provision of scanned or actual paper files, when necessary.

Maintain departmental files, as necessary

Demonstrate leadership by working at a high level of quality with minimal supervision

Mentor and coach other Learning and development coordinators as required

Provide timely and professional customer service via ICON’s help desk application

Provide support for ICON systems that promote learning and development

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Generate reports as necessary

Perform additional activities and responsibilities related to the job role and support ICON University activities as assigned.

Proactively informs Icon University management of department and or learning and development related issues.

Work collaboratively and proactively as part of the wider ICON University team

US/LATAM/CAN: experience in relevant discipline in Training, Learning & Development, Education, Management, HR or other

EU/APAC: In depth proven experience in relevant discipline in Training, Learning & Development, Education, Management, HR or other

Demonstrates the ICON competencies

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Ability to work effectively and efficiently on global networked computers using current systems, and/or software including the MS Office applications: Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

Demonstrates high level of organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy in work completion.

Ability to work as part of a remote global team

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with current learning and delivery technologies

Fluent in English (written and oral)

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary and not expected to exceed 10%.

What are we looking for:

  • 1+ year of learning and Development on system support or similar role experience within the industry

  • Bachelor's degree in related field Proficiency in LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, Workday Learning).

  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design basics

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience in corporate L&D or HR roles preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail (for reporting and evaluation)
