Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Senior Buyer for Indirect Procurement to lead negotiation strategies across indirect spend categories in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru. This regional role strengthens supplier relationships and ensures full compliance with Mattel procurement policies while collaborating with local, regional, and global teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced English is mandatory and essential for cross‑border coordination.
• Experience with Coupa or similar ERP systems is required.
• Strong Excel and Office suite skills are needed for reporting and analysis.
• Proven negotiation, budgeting, and project management capabilities are essential.
• Experience in LATAM regional negotiations and contract management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute regional sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
• Lead bids (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and develop category strategies at country and regional levels.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers across LATAM in alignment with policies.
• Analyze proposals, run quotation processes, and benchmark prices.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SOX/FDI where applicable.
• Develop supplier relationships and manage risk and value delivery.
• Collaborate with Mattel teams to ensure project execution excellence.
• Manage spend analysis, reporting, and executive presentations using Coupa, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Coordinate with LATAM and U.S. teams to align regional and global objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement within the Procurement function.
• Coach and mentor junior buyers on procurement responsibilities.
