Confiz Limited in Mexico seeks a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead (Java) to guide design, architecture, and development of scalable enterprise applications. You will own complex technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities include system design, hands-on development with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices; driving DevOps, CI/CD, AWS cloud, and observability.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional hands-on experience in software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java (required).
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, and design patterns.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and driving initiatives.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and high-performance enterprise software applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding through design decisions and problem-solving.
• Manage daily standups, Jira tasks, sprint updates, and technical discussions to ensure alignment with goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and implement backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Develop event-driven/distributed systems using Kafka and AWS SQS.
• Support cloud-based solutions, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Design comprehensive automated testing strategies (unit/integration/load).
• Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
