Job summary

Applaudo is seeking an experienced software engineer to own features end-to-end in a mature product stack. You will work across a monolithic codebase with Java21/Spring Boot on the backend and Angular frontend, building scalable solutions and collaborating with a US-based team.

You’ll participate in Agile ceremonies, deliver robust tests, and help estimate backend complexity and scope to keep development on track.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with backend focus.
• Strong Java21 and Spring Boot experience.
• Hands-on Angular experience (v14+).
• Experience with PostgreSQL and ORM (MyBatis/Hibernate).
• Experience with Redis caching and AWS (S3/ECS/CloudWatch).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and debug features end-to-end across backend API and Angular frontend.
• Develop RESTful APIs in Java21/Spring Boot with PostgreSQL and Liquibase.
• Implement and maintain Redis-based caching strategies for performance.
• Build reactive Angular19 components using RxJS and TypeScript.
• Write unit and E2E tests for critical business logic.
• Collaborate with AWS for storage, deployment, observability, and AI integrations.
• Communicate complexity and scope changes during Agile ceremonies and client meetings.
• Partner with peers to maintain code quality across the team.
