What are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer specializing in Microservices and AWS for a project with a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. This is a 100% remote position open to candidates located in Spain, requiring fluent English for effective communication with international teams.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and high-quality software.
2. Adopt the DevOps mindset: "you build it, you own it, you run it," ensuring reliable and seamless software maintenance.
3. Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
4. Collaborate effectively both independently and within a team environment.
5. Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including occasional QA and peer code reviews.
6. Align with objectives and vision set by Product Management.
7. Drive innovation within your team, area of expertise, and broader technical domain.

What do we expect from you?

• Strong Java programming skills and experience in building APIs.
• Deep understanding of all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID).
• Experience with different testing types: Unit, API, Acceptance, Load Testing.
• Experience with distributed architectures such as SOA or MSA.
• Experience with event-driven architectures.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Relevant experience with AWS services.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven.
• Experience with Enterprise Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
