Job summary

Marsh seeks a proactive Institutional Investment Manager to grow its investment consulting footprint in Mexico City and beyond. The role focuses on winning new clients, leading investment delivery for large accounts, and expanding services across the region.

This position requires a strong background in finance, Latin American markets, and client-facing leadership. The role is hybrid with in-office presence in Mexico City and substantial strategic interaction with teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or other business-related area.
• AMIB Figura 3 certification.
• 8+ years' experience in investment consulting with proven ability to sell and deliver investment consulting services to senior business leaders.
• Strong mathematical and financial skills and knowledge.
• Good knowledge of pensions industry, markets, investment managers, and relevant legislation.
• Specialized knowledge of investment products and services.
• Ability to consult on all products within the investment market and advise clients on appropriate choices for their situation.
• Highly analytical with a strategic mindset, excellent client-facing skills, and strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience in leading projects and managing client expectations.
• Advanced skills in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong command of spoken and written English is a must.
• Experience in designing and developing ALM Models (preferably).

Responsibilities

• Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients on determining investment objectives, establishing investment policy, selecting investment managers, monitoring markets and client portfolios, managing risk, and adjusting strategies.
• Create and evaluate investment strategies and their impact for large clients.
• Create project work plans and monitor timelines and budgets.
• Market and expand the Investment Consulting business and Mercer’s broader services.
• Grow relationships through presentations, RFPs, and new client acquisition.
• Maintain visibility through public speaking, professional societies, and publications.

Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or other business-related area
