Jabil in Tijuana, Mexico, seeks an experienced Injection Molding Engineer to lead development, optimization, and validation of molding processes for new and existing products. You will work with design, tooling, and production teams to ensure moldability and cost-effective manufacturing.

Minimum 7 years in injection molding engineering, strong knowledge of materials and equipment, and expertise in scientific molding and SPC data analysis are required.

Formación

• Degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in injection molding engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in injection molding processes, materials, and equipment.
• Strong mold design and tooling knowledge.
• Experience with scientific molding and process optimization.
• Proficiency in SPC and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork; English fluency.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development, optimization, and validation of injection molding processes.
• Analyze complex molding issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide expert technical guidance and training to molding technicians, engineers, and production staff.
• Collaborate with design, tooling, and manufacturing teams to ensure moldability of new product designs.
• Evaluate and recommend new molding technologies, materials, and equipment to enhance capabilities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for molding-related defects and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process parameters, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects, to drive operational excellence.
• Support tooling design and development activities, providing input on moldability and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
