Siemens Energy in Mexico City seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical studies for HVDC/substation projects and collaborate with international teams to drive decarbonization and grid stability.

The role requires 8+ years on electrical engineering equipment for HVDC, substations, or hydrogen projects, with strong knowledge of power systems and tools like ETAP/AutoCAD. English communication and intercultural collaboration are essential.

Formación

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Perform Electrical Studies such as Short Circuit, Load Flow, Voltage Drop, Motor Starting, Arc Flash, Protection relay settings and coordinations.
• Knowledge of Auxiliary Equipment within Substation or Plant such as Transformers, Switchgears, Motor Control Centers, Battery, Chargers, UPS, Panelboards, Diesel Generators etc.
• Develop engineering specifications, perform technical bid evaluations and vendor drawing reviews for the assigned Auxiliary Equipment.
• Work in close cooperation with senior engineers, project engineering manager and general project management as well as with other relevant stakeholders.
• Managing and monitoring of internal and external suppliers including handling of electrical, I&C and related layout interfaces.
• Implementation, steering and control of the electrical design process with focus on related concepts, technical specification preparation and BoQs
