Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement professional in Mexico to manage direct/indirect material purchases, drive total cost of ownership reductions, and ensure material availability aligned with production demand.

You will lead supplier negotiations, monitor performance, and collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance to support business objectives and supplier risk mitigation across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or procurement.
• Proven experience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.
• Knowledge of material planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of direct materials, indirect materials, and/or services.
• Ensure material availability in line with production and customer demand.
• Monitor and execute supply plans to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
• Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and terms.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Lead regional/global productivity initiatives.
