Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Procurement Supervisor Americas to lead procurement and strategic sourcing across MTCS Americas. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate agreements to ensure material availability and cost competitiveness.

You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to mitigate risk and drive value while ensuring compliance with Sulzer standards. fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience across multiple countries.
• Demonstrated success leading strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct materials, indirect materials, and services.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and development activities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, payment terms, and contractual conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards.
• Drive annual productivity and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials and services for manufacturing, projects, and service operations.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with Sulzer policies, trade regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
• Promote digital tools, automation, and procurement analytics.
