Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Global Directory Services Specialist, you will manage global ABB Active Directory and related services. Reporting to the Global Directory Services Manager, you will be responsible for all areas related to Global Directory Services. This role is primarily remote and contributes to the IT area in Mexico. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Managing and maintaining Domain Controllers and Directory Services servers, including hardening, patching, backup, recovery, upgrades, and daily operations.
2. Managing Directory Services like Active Directory, synchronization (MIM, AADConnect), authentication (ADFS, PTA), backup (Quest), DNS (MS, Infoblox, Akamai), and DHCP (MS).
3. Enhancing Directory Services through automation, monitoring, optimization, and consolidation.
4. Responding to incidents, resolving issues, fulfilling requests, and implementing changes.
5. Creating technical documentation, work instructions, and operational procedures.
6. Managing core Directory Services and collaborating with other suppliers responsible for UAM and other parts of the ABB IS landscape.

Qualifications for the role

• Over 5 years of experience with extensive knowledge of Windows Servers/Active Directory/DNS in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server implementation and administration, GPOs, user accounts, groups, sites, audit logs, and hardening.
• Experience with sync engines like MIM and Azure AD Connect.
• Experience with Microsoft authentication services such as ADFS, PTA, PHS.
• Knowledge of Microsoft DHCP and DNS.
• Proficiency in scripting, mainly PowerShell.
• Experience with Entra ID.
• Experience with Quest Active Roles and Infoblox is a plus.
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and SIEM systems like Splunk is a plus.
• Fluent in spoken and written English with good communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong focus on security hardening, compliance, automation, and processes.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and IT service management is a plus.
