Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Customs Manager to lead Mexico operations covering inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with IMMEX, OEA, VAT and related regulations. You will manage a team, coordinate with local brokers, and drive process improvements to minimize risks and delays.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in trade compliance, strong auditing skills, and fluency in English and Spanish. Travel up to 30% and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of work experience in trade compliance or customs.
• Experience with Mexican regulatory trade compliance (SAT, Customs, Ministry of Economy).
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel 20–30%.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Mexican customs operations for imports/exports, including direct reports.
• Coordinate with local customs teams for inbound/outbound shipments in MX.
• Monitor brokers performance to align with company objectives.
• Perform periodic customs compliance audits and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement IMMEX, OEA, VAT program policies and procedures.
• Ensure documentation and recordkeeping comply with MX customs regulations.
• Provide guidance on cross-border compliance and tax administration inquiries.
• Communicate audit findings to Trade Compliance management.
