Job summary

Wood Mackenzie in Mexico City and Houston seeks a Managing Consultant to lead the Americas Gas & LNG consulting practice. You will own delivery of client engagements, shape opportunities, manage projects, and collaborate with Wood Mackenzie experts to develop insights for critical commercial decisions.

You will oversee strategy development, due diligence, market screening, and competitiveness analysis, coordinating with cross-sector teams and senior clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, or engineering; top-tier master’s/MBA preferred.
• 3+ years in management consulting or energy-focused consulting, or related strategic/analyst work in gas/LNG markets.
• Experience coordinating projects and managing workflows with clients and stakeholders.
• Advanced data analytics and Excel skills; strong understanding of energy value chains.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of important parts of client engagements under supervision of a Project Director.
• Coordinate project plans, storyboarding, and cross-functional execution toward milestones.
• Lead complex analysis of commodity markets and project economics using industry research.
• Develop pricing models for natural gas and LNG using large datasets.
• Build and present presentations for senior audiences with clear recommendations.
• Support consulting proposals that demonstrate client value and Wood Mackenzie capabilities.
• Engage in broader Consulting practices, including recruiting, training, and process improvements.
• Maintain internal networks across consulting, research, and sales to optimize outcomes.
• Coach teammates to develop consulting skills and processes.
