Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend developer. You will design and build high-quality, low-latency APIs in Node.js/TypeScript, integrate with AWS services, and ensure robust data models in PostgreSQL/AuroraDB.

You’ll work on scalable, secure multi-tenant systems and contribute to testing, CI/CD, and occasional frontend tasks. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript skills.
• Experience building low-latency APIs in AWS and scalable RESTful services.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and SQL, incl. migrations.
• Experience in secure, multi-tenant environments and testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services in Node.js/TypeScript.
• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend teams and clients on requirements.
• Contribute to AWS deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
