Codal is a boutique web design and development consultancy in Mexico City seeking an experienced full‑stack engineer to join our engineering team. You will design backend services in Python (FastAPI preferred) and frontend apps with Vue.js, and deploy on GCP.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in full‑stack roles, strong PostgreSQL skills, Docker and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and familiarity with Terraform and event‑driven architectures.

This is a contract role paying $50–$55 USD per hour.

Formación

• 6+ years of engineering experience in a full-stack capacity.
• Strong Python experience (FastAPI preferred; Flask or Django considered).
• Building responsive UIs with Vue.js and working with PostgreSQL databases.

Responsabilidades

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Python (FastAPI preferred) and frontend apps with Vue.js.
• Building and maintaining event-driven microservices with PubSub and asynchronous processing.
• Developing PostgreSQL data models and Alembic migrations.
• Deploying and managing services on GCP (Cloud Run, GCS, IAM, Secret Manager).
• Containerized deployments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Ensuring security, data protection, and robust storage solutions.
• Writing testable, reusable code and integrating REST APIs between frontend and backend.
• Running diagnostics, troubleshooting defects, and providing technical support.
• Documenting architectures and processes; preparing reports.
• Recommending improvements to processes and technologies.
