Job summary

CIMMYT seeks a Senior Manager FP&A to lead the Financial Planning Unit, overseeing budget, forecasting, costing, and chargeback processes in line with IFRS, NIF, and donor requirements. The role provides strategic leadership to the Finance Department and ensures data governance across planning systems.

Responsibilities include managing the Budget and Costing Manager, maintaining policy, coordinating with Regional Offices, and supervising the data integrity of Dynamics 365 Finance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in finance/related field.
• Professional accounting qualification desirable (CPA/ACCA/CMA/CFA).
• Minimum 10-12 years in budgeting, planning, costing, and financial management.
• Experience leading or supervising finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of ERP platforms and data reporting.
• Experience with budgeting processes, cost accounting, chargeback methods.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English (minimum C1).

Responsibilities

• Lead CIMMYT’s institutional annual budget, forecast, costing, and chargeback processes.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Financial Planning Unit.
• Own budget policy, costing manual, and chargeback rate-setting across HQ and regions.
• Coordinate with Senior Finance Transformation & Budgeting Solutions Lead.
• Oversee external financial reporting of CGIAR Science programs.
• Serve as a senior business owner for budgeting data and Dynamics 365 systems.
