Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to join the Monterrey, Mexico facility supporting the Fastener Solutions and Performance Tapes divisions. This role will execute FP&A activities for Monterrey, as well as support the commercial organization by providing timely analytics regarding topline performance. In this role, the successful candidate will strive for continuous improvement in the divisions’ financial analysis tools and capabilities. This role will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, month-end reporting, capital management, SG&A management, and serving as the primary finance contact for the site.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Complete month end close activities and ensure accurate, timely and documented procedures.

• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to Sr. Finance Manager and other stakeholders.

• Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, identify trends, and highlight areas of risk or opportunity.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Support financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies.

Budget Management:

• Oversee the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets.

• Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to track and control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.

• Develop and implement budgeting policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.

- Business Partnership:

• Act as a trusted finance partner to business leaders, providing financial guidance, insights, and support.

• Assist in evaluating business cases for new projects, product launches, and other investments.

• Foster effective communication and collaboration between finance and other departments to align financial objectives with operational activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CIMA, CFA or CMA will be a plus

• 5-8 years finance or related experience.

• Skilled in proficiently using computers and related software in performing financial job tasks, specifically setting up spreadsheet formulas, linking spreadsheets, extracting data, developing graphs.

• Ability to design, develop, and maintain tables, formulas, graphs, and macros in Excel, Googlescript, Power BI or similar word processing programs as well as set up tables, queries, and reports in SQL, Power BI or similar database programs will be a plus.

• Skill in communicating complex ideas effectively, both orally and in writing, and making presentations to large groups.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong follow-up skills and organization.

• MfgPro, CyberScience, HFM, and Google experience a plus.

• Fluent in English and Spanish
