Job summary

Susurros del Corazon is seeking a Director of Finance to drive financial performance for the hotel and residences, reporting to the General Manager. You will implement effective financial controls, manage budgets, and foster strong owner relationships while leading a team across finance, legal and tax matters.

The role requires deep experience with hospitality finance, HOA management, and real estate project finance, in addition to fluency in Spanish and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience as a property finance leader with residential finance operations leadership preferred.
• Excellent understanding of the Uniform System of Accounts.
• Deep experience with hotel financial reporting systems, policies and procedures, and management agreements.
• Experience with operating and financial agreements; evaluated risks and developed proactive strategies to mitigate issues.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to present large amounts of information clearly to senior management and owners.
• Spanish & English language competency.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic financial planning for Hotel and Residences.
• Maximize cash flow for hotel and residences.
• Establish controls for revenues, expenses, and assets.
• Deal honestly and fairly with clients, customers, suppliers, and financial partners.
• Maintain timely financial information and provide analysis and projections.
• Develop staff: identify training needs and support training funding.
• Ensure compliance with Mexican laws and regulations.
• Ensure safe storage and access for contracts, leases, and financial records.
• Mentor operations as financial stewards of the business.
• Manage HOA finances: budgets, fees, reserves, cash flow, and statements.
• Oversee finances of residential and real estate projects, including budgets and revenue.
