Job summary

Placements24 seeks a seasoned Software Engineer to develop ECUs for powertrain, chassis, and ADAS. You will write efficient C/C++ code, implement control algorithms, and build extensive tests including HIL simulations.

You will collaborate with systems and hardware teams, ensuring software requirements are met and the product integrates seamlessly with automotive platforms while upholding safety standards and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional embedded software experience with a significant focus on automotive control systems.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming for embedded applications.
• Experience with RTOS and automotive middleware (AUTOSAR).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet).
• Familiarity with automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
• Proficiency in debugging tools and techniques, including HIL simulators.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and integrate software for automotive control units (ECUs) related to powertrain, chassis, and ADAS.
• Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code primarily in C/C++.
• Implement and optimize control algorithms based on system requirements and performance targets.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and validation teams to define software requirements and ensure system integration.
• Debug complex software issues and performance problems in a timely manner.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to strict coding standards and software development processes.
• Contribute to the definition and improvement of software development tools and methodologies.
• Stay current with automotive standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262) and emerging technologies.
• Effectively communicate technical details and project status in a remote, international team environment.
