Job summary

Clarios, LLC in Monterrey seeks an Electronics Lead Engineer to drive design and development of BMS electronics for low and high voltage batteries and supercapacitors. You will lead a team, define hardware requirements, and ensure seamless integration with software and manufacturing.

You will guide design reviews, advance DFMEA and functional safety, and mentor other engineers, while contributing to cost targets and quotes for global programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience in OE Automotive or Tier 1 Powertrain electronics.
• Proven technical and project leadership experience.
• Experience with schematic capture tools (Altium).
• Proficiency in electronic circuit debug, test, and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the design, analysis, and execution of electronic products and projects, ensuring hardware requirements compliance.
• Define and manage hardware requirements aligned with BMS strategies, performance targets, and cost objectives.
• Direct the design process to ensure integration with software, manufacturing, and battery systems.
• Review and approve hardware analysis plans, test results, and design justification for production launches.
• Lead manufacturability-focused design for testability and manufacturing processes.
• Facilitate DFMEA and functional safety activities within the BMS.
• Act as technical lead in design reviews and coordinate with internal teams and OEM customers.
• Provide technical direction to engineers to resolve design issues and drive decisions.
• Present topics and share expertise across electronics teams and product groups.
• Support new business quoting and contribute to cost/scope assessments.
• Promote creativity, system integration, and use of design methods to solve problems.
