Schneider Electric in Mexico is seeking a Senior Engineer I, Electromechanical Design, to lead the design, development, and optimization of electromechanical products for low‑voltage electrical distribution equipment.

You will apply CAD, GD&T, and design‑for‑manufacturing practices, collaborate with electrical engineers, and guide cross‑functional teams through concept to validation and industrialization.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s considered an asset.
• Experience in new product development for low‑voltage electrical distribution equipment.
• Experience supporting product validation, certification, industrialization, and continuous improvement activities.
• Mechanical & Electromechanical Design knowledge across industrial products and electrical equipment.
• Advanced CAD experience and ability to manage large assemblies and multiple product configurations.
• Experience applying GD&T, tolerance stack‑up analysis, DFM, DFA, and Design‑for‑Cost methodologies.
• Knowledge of material selection, finishes, corrosion protection, fastening systems, and welding/fabrication processes.
• Understanding current‑carrying components, electrical clearance and creepage, grounding, and thermal effects of current.
• Ability to collaborate with electrical engineers during development, testing, and release.
• Familiarity with UL, IEC, NEMA, and CSA standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development and optimization of electromechanical designs for low‑voltage distribution products and subsystems.
• Translate customer requirements and standards into robust engineering solutions.
• Drive activities across the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Support technology roadmaps and contribute to innovative product features.
• Provide technical guidance in design reviews to engineers and stakeholders.
• Support standardization, modularization, and platform development strategies to boost competitiveness.
• Design and optimize assemblies and enclosure systems for manufacturability and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality and compliance.
