Capital One is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead a 50-70 person software engineering organization in Mexico City, focused on delivery experience tools, cloud governance, and scalable, cloud-native architectures. You will partner with executives to translate vision into execution and drive engineering excellence across teams.

You will recruit, mentor, and motivate top talent, influence roadmaps with product owners, and ensure high quality software delivery on

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field.
• At least 15 years in data and software engineering.
• At least 5 years of executive technology leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience driving architecture and engineering excellence at enterprise scale.
• At least 5 years of experience with public cloud technologies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and inspire a team of 50-70 software engineers.
• Support a large recruiting agenda to staff 100+ engineers.
• Provide thought leadership to engineers and product partners on software delivery, cloud, and risk engineering.
• Encourage innovation and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
• Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions.
• Serve as primary liaison with Capital One US Tech leaders to align resources with priorities.
• Mentor engineers and participate in technology communities.
• Drive deployment of apps into AWS environments.
• Enable developer productivity through tooling and automation.
